Dolly Dolores started singing at the age of 10 being inspired by records that she found in her big sisters room. Her early inspiration came from the greats in soul and blues such as Ray Charles, Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone. She taught herself to play the guitar in the same period of time and started writing her first songs. Making her commercial debut in 2014 she received great success from both Swedish radio and television with the song "Pä mändag börjar jag igen". After six years of silence she is back with new music in 2021 introducing a new sound with cinematic and experimental elements.
Her latest single "Night time" is a timeless piece that blends modern pop production with analogue and unusual synths. A heart break anthem for the dance floor. Night time is out on all platforms 29th April.

DOLLY DOLORES
Night time is a heart break anthem for the dance floor. This is not a song about being strong and getting over the one that broke your heart. It is about the desperation one can only feel when being hurt by the one you love. Dolly Dolores wrote the song when she bought her first recording equipment. It was her first attempt in trying to produce her own music and Night time was the first song created.
She was inspired by modern electronic house music but also more analogue sounds from 70's soul and disco. In the song she blends analogue unusual synths like the Omnichord and Ondes Martenot with more conventional instruments such as horns. This is a timeless piece for broken hearts out there! "I always dreamt of creating a really depressing song but that also works on a dance floor. Those kinds of songs are my favorites!" - Dolly Dolores. Listen to Night time here!
